Co-curated by Utöpia and presented by ISTANBUL’74, FLAGS FOR FUTURE will be showcased as an installation, between 22-24 September as part of Format Festival, a three-day event that blends music, art, and technology, at The Momentary in Bentonville, Arkansas.
In addition to the installation, a selection of FLAGS FOR FUTURE merch will be available to purchase at our booth as part of Bizarre Bazaar.
Brought to life using fabric made from up-cycled plastic waste, FLAGS FOR FUTURE raises awareness about plastic pollution in our oceans. In the wake of the two devastating earthquakes that hit Southeast Turkey, Syria, and surrounding regions on February 6th, the project has committed a part of the proceeds of the project towards the recovery efforts through the Biriz Solidarity Association.
We are proud to be showcasing flags works by Aaron Young, Ahmet Ögüt, Alekos Fassianos, Ali Elmaci, Alphan Eseli, André Saraiva, Arslan Sukan, Blair Chivers, Charlotte Colbert, Erdogan Zümrutoglu, Fabio Paleari, Ferhat Özgür, Giasco Bertoli, Hesselholdt & Mejlvang, Ignasi Monreal, Irini Karayannopoulou, Jamie Nares, Jean-Charles De Castelbajac, Jeppe Hein, Jonah Freeman & Justin Lowe, José Parlá & Coby Kennedy, Josh Hickey, Julio Le Parc, Kevin A.
